Hell hath no fury like an angry chef, and no chef has a sharper temper than Gordon Ramsay when things go wrong in the kitchen. The star of the highly rated culinary boot camp HELL'S KITCHEN returns to FOX with another sizzling unscripted series, KITCHEN NIGHTMARES. This time, Chef Ramsay hits the road, in each episode tackling a restaurant in crisis and exposing the stressful realities of trying to run a successful food business. For restaurant owners in crisis with lazy chefs in the kitchen, temperamental wait staffs and few and unhappy diners, it's time to call in the restaurant industry's equivalent of 911. The series premiere has Gordon visiting Peter's, an Italian restaurant in West Babylon, NY. The owner, Peter, of course, does not make a good first impression as he keeps Gordon waiting 20 minutes at the bus station. Peter considers himself to be a hot-shot high roller as he buys an expensive car and sporting jackets, but the main problem the establishment has is the restaurant's feuding kitchen and wait staff with Peter's sister Tina caught in the middle. On the day of the relaunch, Peter gets into a explosive fight with a visiting debt collector with several staff members trying to break up the fight and that night, Gordon discovers Peter is the main problem as he does nothing to contribute to the changes, but Peter eventually understands where Gordon is coming from.
